Who controls your data

GARA TECH is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. DoEvent is operated by GARA TECH, Kigali, Rwanda.

Data we collect

We collect:

• Your name, email address, and Rwandan phone number
• Event details such as date, location, guest count, budget, and the services you need
• Quotation and payment records, including Mobile Money or bank references when payments are recorded
• Notices we send you about your event or account
• Sign-in and session data such as IP address and browser, used for security

Why we use it

We use this data to plan and deliver your event, prepare quotations, record payments, contact you, keep accounts secure, and meet legal and accounting duties. Our lawful basis is contract and legitimate interest, and consent where required, under Rwanda's Law No 058/2021 on the protection of personal data and privacy.

Who sees it

GARA TECH staff can see your data. Providers assigned to your event see the event details they need to deliver the service; they do not see your phone number. Our email provider sends messages on our behalf, and our hosting provider stores the application data.

Where it is stored

The hosting location for client data is still being decided. This notice will name the storage location before launch.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active and as long as needed for accounting records. The final retention period will be set before launch.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, a copy, correction, deletion, objection to processing, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

How to ask

Email the GARA TECH contact address published on this site to make a request. We respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the National Cyber Security Authority (NCSA).
